After the repeal of the Stamp Act, Swallow is appointed to the Board of Commissioners and restationed in Boston. He is in town on the night of the Boston Massacre, and within a few days sails to London to report on the event from the British colonial government's perspective. He goes back and forth between Boston and England until his death in 1783.
