This ending is based on the life of Benjamin Almy. Benjamin's role in the Stamp Act crisis is not known. Because he was not considered a town leader, it is unlikely that he would have been involved in organizing the Stamp Act demonstration. However, he and his wife did differ in their political views during the American Revolution. While he served in the military during the war, she disagreed with the Patriot movement.
